FOR THE HR/ CSR REPRESENTATIVE
The Self4Society platform is the premiere workspace for Electronics and IT corporates to organise employee engagements (Initiatives) for social work. The organisation can create their own Initiatives under the identified National Causes.
The Self4Society platform comprises of the following:
- Self4Society Admin portal (self4society.mygov.in) for Electronics and IT Industry's Corporate HR or CSR representatives, who will create the organisational profile and upload Initiatives.
- Self4Society App (available on Google Play Store and App Store) for people, who will volunteer for Initiatives and contribute their time to tasks on-the-ground.
The Letter of Authorization is addressed to the CEO, MyGov from the Organisation's representative, establishing the credentials of the Nodal Officer who will register on self4society.mygov.in on the Organisation's behalf.
The Letter of Authorization should always be printed on the Organisation's official letterhead and be signed by the Organisation's representative. A signed and scanned copy of the Letter of Authorization is required to be uploaded while enrolling the Organisation on self4society.mygov.in. In case of non-availability of letterhead, you can upload a scanned copy of nodal officer’s visiting card.

It is recommended that along with uploading a scanned copy of the Letter of Authorization/ visiting card, the scanned copy should also be emailed to self4society[at]mygov[dot]in from the Organisational representative's official email ID.
A Join Code is a unique eight-digit alphanumeric code specific to an organisation or each of its campuses. Employees require the organisation's Join Code to log in to the Self4Society App for the employee experience. The Self4Society platform will share the Join Code with the organisation's HR/ CSR representative. The HR/ CSR representative is responsible for floating the Join Code among the organisation's employees through internal channels.
If you are not affiliated to an organisation and you wish to volunteer individually, use the Join Code HIND2022.
An Initiative is a set of tasks related to a cause category, created by the organisation's HR or CSR representative. Each Initiative provides the details of the specific date, venue and time where the volunteering activity will take place. The details also include the name and description for the Initiative, along with the organiser's contact details, location and task details.
The Initiatives created on the Self4Society portal are synched up on the Self4Society App from where the volunteers can indicate willingness to participate and mark their presence.
On the (self4society.mygov.in) platform, organisation's HR or CSR representative can create Initiatives for their employees across causes categories.
A QR code is generated for each Initiative created on the Self4Society platform. The organisation's HR or CSR representative and / or the Initiative Organiser will carry the physical cutouts of the QR Code at the Initiative's location on the pre-defined date and time. Employees who have volunteered for the Initiative can scan the code through the Self4Society App on their mobile phones to mark their presence and log the hours of actual ground work.
Hours logged is a mechanism to credit the Organisation. Organisation hours logged will be sum total of hours logged by all the employees who volunteer for Initiatives. By earning greater hours logged Organisations will have the opportunity to be part of the New India Champions Leader board on the Self4Society platform that features the top five contributors among organisations and individuals.

Every organisation that is enrolled on self4society.mygov.in has a unique Join Code. The organisation's HR / CSR team will share the Join Code with their employees.
If your organisation is already registered on self4society.mygov.in, please contact your HR / CSR team to obtain the Join Code.
If your organisation is not registered on self4society.mygov.in, please request your HR / CSR team to enroll the organisation to join #Self4Society movement.
Enrollment on Self4Society platform is currently open for all companies and start-ups in the IT, ITES/BPO, Electronics, Telecom, Mobile Manufacturing sectors.

Volunteers can express their willingness to contribute to an Initiative by clicking the Volunteer button for that Initiative in the Self4Society App. The volunteers will first have to click on the Volunteer option. On the day of the Initiative the HR/ CSR representative will carry the physical cut-outs of the QR Code at the Initiative's location. People who have volunteered for the Initiative will have to scan the QR code through the Self4Society App on their mobile phones to mark their presence and log the hours of actual on-the-ground work for the target set by the organiser.
Goodness Points are a mechanism to credit the people who volunteer for those Initiatives, for the ground work they have executed. By earning greater goodness points, you and your colleagues have the opportunity to be part of the Leader board on the Self4Society App that features the top five contributors in an organisation.
The Self4Society App records the hours logged per volunteer for each Initiative, which are used towards calculation of the goodness points.
