UMANG, also known as Unified Mobile Application, is an all-in-one app launched by the Narendra Modi government that provides access to several government services (central, state, and regional), such as filing income tax, making Aadhaar and provident fund queries, booking a gas cylinder, Passport Seva, among others. UMANG service has been made available on multiple channels like mobile application, web, IVR and SMS which can be accessed through smartphones, feature phones, tablets and desktops.
Downloading and setting up UMANG App:
- Download and install UMANG App
- Launch the app and click on 'New User'
- On the 'Registration' screen, key in the mobile number and click 'Proceed'. You will see the mobile number verification screen
- Now, key in the OTP and proceed to set MPIN. Type MPIN and click 'Confirm MPIN'
- Choose 'Proceed' and answer the security question and continue
- Enter Aadhaar number if you want to link it or click 'Skip' to move on to the 'Profile Information Screen', where you will have to enter profile details
- Click 'Save & Proceed'

DigiLocker is Government of India's platform for issuance and verification of documents & certificates in a digital way, thus eliminating the use of physical documents. Indian citizens who sign up for a DigiLocker account get a dedicated cloud storage space that is linked to their Aadhaar (UIDAI) number. Organizations that are registered with Digital Locker can push electronic copies of documents and certificates (e.g. driving license, Voter ID, School certificates) directly into citizens lockers. Citizens can also upload scanned copies of their legacy documents in their accounts. These legacy documents can be electronically signed using the eSign facility.

Poshan Abhiyaan's vision is to reduce stunting, under-nutrition, anemia (among young children, women and adolescent girls) and reduce low birth weight by 2%, 2%, 3% and 2% per annum respectively. This scheme covers all girls of every economic strata under 10 years of age. Their parents or legal guardians can open Sukanya Samridhi Account in Post offices and Banks. A Sukanya Samriddhi Account can be opened any time after the birth of a girl till she turns 10. Upon attaining the age of 18 years, upto 50% of the money can be withdrawn for higher education.

Financial Inclusion
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) is a Financial Inclusion program of the Narendra Modi government that aims to ensure access to financial services like availability of basic savings bank account, access to need based credit, remittances facility, insurance and pension to weaker sections and low income groups.
Account can be opened in any bank branch or Business Correspondent (Bank Mitr) outlet. Accounts opened under PMJDY are being opened with Zero balance. However, if the account-holder wishes to get cheque book, he/she will have to fulfill minimum balance criteria.

The Atal Pension Yojana (APY) focuses on all citizens in the unorganised sector who join the National Pension System (NPS) administered by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA). APY provides a defined pension depending on the contribution and its period.
Under the APY, the subscribers would receive the fixed minimum pension of Rs. 1000 per month, Rs. 2000 per month, Rs. 3000 per month, Rs. 4000 per month, Rs. 5000 per month, at the age of 60 years, depending on their contributions, which itself would be based on the age of joining the APY.

- The minimum age of joining APY is 18 years and maximum age is 40 years.
- The age of exit and start of pension would be 60 years. Therefore, minimum period of contribution by the subscriber under APY would be 20 years or more.

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) offers a renewable one year accidental death cum disability cover to all subscribing bank account holders in the age group of 18 to 70 years. This is for a premium of Rs.12/- per annum per subscriber to be auto debited from subscriber's bank account. The scheme provides a cover of Rs. Two Lakh for accidental death or total permanent disability and Rs. One Lakh in case of permanent partial disability.
