We, at KPIT, have chosen to help these farmers by mass volunteering for the rice plantation (typically called Bhaat Laavni in Marathi). Since last 4 years, 200 volunteers from KPIT have participated in helping 12 farmers to cultivate their paddy fields. While the farmers get help from us, we get an opportunity to understand some things beyond our office and schools. We get to experience the hard work of our farmers and understand how dependent we are on nature with an insight into challenges around government policies too. It does makes us realize the value of every single grain on our plate.
