At Applied materials India, our goal is to serve and work towards the community we are part of. In association with United Way of Bengaluru (NGO partner), Applied Materials India recently organized Vegetable Mela at its Bangalore office, where the farmers sold 13 varieties of vegetables, tamarind, citron and mango pickles. The farmers who were from the Kolar district, Holur FPO, sold their produce directly to the Applied employees and obtained direct profits without the intervention of the middleman. The initiative was part of Applied’s annual CSR campaign, Fight Against Hunger, where employees come together to raise funds to support the underprivileged children.
